EuroReef Skimmer Replacement Pump

Hello!

I had a reef tank for 10 years and had to sell my livestock...but kept the equipment for my 55 gallon...I plugged in my Euroreef Skimmer and the pump doesn't work, even after cleaning it . What type of replacement pump should I get?

There are allot of ER skimmers. knowing witch one you have would help

if your not sure and can't see any model #'s anywhere, try taking the collection cup off and look at the sealing area between the main body and collection cup. mine was hand etched in that area.

Once we know tha size of the skimmer. we can help with a pump.

P.S. The ER skimmers use unbranded Sedra pumps. so if nothing else. taking your pump to a good LFS could get you an idea of what you have and need if you can't figure out the model of the skimmer itself.

im assuming that since it's for a 55g that you probably have an rs-80 or rs-100, both would have the sedra 3500 pump, which you can just get a replacement of:

also, as you know, euro-reef is no more, but the the owner of euro-reef opened a new company called Reef Dynamics,
and if you want to pay a completely unreasonable price for a newer style "ER" pump, then go for it....

its the 5-2, which is the same as the rs-80...ie; the sedra 3500 pump.
