I really want to add a bigger sump and refugium to my system. However, I've very limited on space. My tank is next to an outside wall of my house. There is space on the other side (outside the house). So, I'm considering building some kind of enclosure for a sump that will be outside the house. I would drill a hole through the wall to plumb it to the tank. It sounds like a good idea, so long as I properly insulated it and water proof it.
Has anyone else tried something like this? Did it turn out well (or not )? Have any sage advice to offer for an undertaking like this?
