Hey did anyone see the last episode of Extreme Home Makeover. They installed a 600 G marine tank in the home they built. I found it humerous that the guy said that it was the first time ever that a tank that big had been put into a residential home. LOL.....They obviously havent visited this site.

It was a cool tank though. There was one quick shot of it where you could see some schooling fish in it, looked like damsels...plus a bunch of yellow tangs

I wonder how long before the home owner is calling, begging them to take it out.

Don

LOL Don.....no doubt.....sounds like they got maintenence for a year for free, so I'm guessing about 366 days

The tank was awesome, I wanted it!! Could you imagine cleaning that monster, Get out the fins cuz we are going diving  :D

Ya, you guys are right they will be calling to have it removed. It looked great on the show but wait until it starts to cycle, they might want it removed in a week or so. Im just jealous :)

Yeah, I saw it too. I did look nice even though everything inside of it looked like it was fake. Nevertheless, I'd take it!

One of our Sponsors "The Shark Reef" donated one to Extreem Makeover when they did a house here locally. He may have the pics on his site still if ya wanna look

Maintanence on that tank would be a nightmare...did you see how deep it was????

Also, how long before the kids will get to see the evolution theory in action as the most dominant yellow tang beats the crap out of the rest. Nevermind the PBT in there and the multitude of devils...errr...damsels. Nice to look at....like a doctors office tank, just wouldn't want to see it after a month.

Cool episode though. Gotta love it when an american soldier gets something back from his country. I think they could have just given him the leg and he would have been happy.

Of course I start updating my website before I notice this thread. But hear is a thread from after we did the show

Anyway...our tank donated wasn't anything quite like the one a few weeks ago, but I agree with everyone that has posted. I couln't believe how many fish they had in the tank, which may all be dead by now. I also caught the comment about no one having a tank that big in a home.

Did anyone caught them say this glass tank is made out of s special type of glass called acrylic. I thought that was too funny!!!
