oh yeah, my black sun coral (tubastrea) as well! Can't forget him. you can see it under the balanos in the previous picture, but he's not open in that picture for some reason. Usually it is. At first I was feeding them in the morning to train them to stay open, and it worked! They are typically open 80-90% of the day and get huge at night!

wow. Thats really good to know. I never thought of taking them out to feed. I have heard the term training to stay open but never knew what it meant until you mentioned it. thanks for the great info!
No problem, good luck! I've also noticed, that with the "training them" part, high indirect flow helps them stay open. I say "indirect", because when they open REALLY large, the strong flow can knock them over.
