How do I feed my Tiger Pistol Shrimp???

He will eat the food until something comes by and he scurry's back in to his cave and just doesn't come out again.

He does the same thing at night time too...

I thought they were suposibly all tough and stuff

perhaps its just shy and may take some time to get use to teh tank. How long have you had it?

No, I have 3 Green Chromis who only stay on top or left side of tank. Helfrichi Fire Fish and a neon goby

Keep in mind pistols are blind so they are often not that active in the day except to work on their burrows. Check around the tank well after lights out and there's little or no noise/activity around the tank. It will most likely be out of it's burrow some. As long as there is something making an intermitent vibration, it will remain hidden. More commonly they wait for food to come to them. As far as being tough, most definately. They can and will kill/eat whatever wanders into their burrows. This inlcudes fish, crustacea, univalves and corals.

Is it paired with a watchman or is it just the shrimp?
