Fibreglass

I've got some ideas to hide my plumbing and build a sump, but need to know if fibreglass resin will leach into water once cured. I know that some water storage tanks are made with FRP, but I think those are epoxy coated before use.

Many, if not most public aq tanks are fiberglass.

Some types of fiberglass resin are more permeable than others. Coating with epoxy protects the fiberglass from water intrusion.

If you want to use all fiberglass resin, the type sold for "gel coat" on boats is the less permeable type.
