Would love to go but have to work weekend of the 9th. Let me know if date changes.

hi all!
now that i think about it, the 16th would be better than the 9th for me as well :)
so now mabye ken and jamie can go on that weekend.
hopefully that will work for dang and brad too-they gotta go!
scott (the guy who won 4 times, including the big skimmer, at the raffle) my bro in law, will also be going.
c'mon, where are the rest of you acro heads at?
there'll be no meeting in july, this will be the perfect little summer outing!
your a cooler and a drive away from acro heaven!
and for the rest of you, waves and upscales carries alot of lps, softies and nice fish. also, all three stores have oxygen, and their packing is awesome as they do a fair amount of internet sales. they may even be able to order certain corals if we ask soon... im going to be on the look out for frags of acanthastrea or micromussa, mabye a tort :p

aaarrrg!!
i forgot the tank tour got moved to the 16th!
we could do sunday the 17th....or friday the 15th if we wanted to keep it that weekend.
or choose another weekend.
ha- i knew this would be a logistical nightmare :)
what do you guys think?........

i personally feel friday the 15th would be best, we would beat the weekend rush, ha- and people who have tanks on the tank tour could have new corals!! but still open for debate.
so after a couple phone calls, travis from upscales has to pass on giving us a discount, because he doesnt even give pnwmas members a discount, and he doesnt want them to get mad. dissapointing but understandable. but, his store has a running deal of 5 acro frags for $60 and it gets cheaper the more you buy, an awesome deal! still worth going to, also you gotta see their main display tanks, very cool.
soutas and waves are still doing the 10% discount, and soutas is going to go out of his way to bring over some cool corals from his prop facility just for us! waves as well can always get rare and interesting stuff so im sure shawn will have some great stuff on hand. as i said if we let them know in advance what we are looking for they can accomodate us!!
this promises to be a great trip, and a perfect event to combine with the tank tour for a great july club event! i'll make an announcement on the general discussion thread in case people might have missed this here in the psas forum, i'd love to see more people who want to go!

I'm not a member yet; although I intend on joining soon. If I can catch a ride I'd be willing to go. Portland streets and I don't get along :) Gas money isn't a problem.

Let me know,
Clayton

I would love to go, but I cannot go on a weekday with a new job. I dont think it looks too good asking for time off already. If it is on a weekend I am good to go. Just let me know.

Hi,
I have a friend who has a store on the west side near 217 called "World of Wet Pets". It's huge but mostly freshwater, he has slowly been building up the marine livestock section. He said he would also honor the 10% off but would like a week's notice as to when we are coming so he can make a big order first, they haven't been open long and don't have it fully stocked yet but us coming is proper incentive. I got a zoanthid rock there yesterday, it's a small one but it has about 30 on it and is red, was only 15 bucks... his coral prices are great. Fish are more expensive but are MAC and/or captive raised. As I understand it his position is that all the livestock are MAC certified and yet his invert prices are low, guess he hasn't had the losses that cause higher markups on the survivors. Works for me! As I said he is a friend and I am biased, so won't go on with this. I don't know if you sps guys would be as into it as I am as you can get primo sps frags at so many other places, so maybe he should order the softies, zo's, clams and other good stuff... but I will see what he can do.
So do we have a date yet? 15th?
I am in...
Kate

that sounds awesome kate, the more the merrier!!
especially scince he's willing to do a discount. i think it would be cool if he could focus more on softies and l.p.s., we will definately be getting our fill of sps.

Hi,
That's what I figure, the sps needs will be filled by Upscales and Soutas, don't know what Seahorse and the others have these days... but I did tell him maybe pick up a few of the primo ORA lines of blue acro. I suggested green and yellow softies too and the premium ORA clams. Suggestions?
Kate

Hmm...ok I will have to miss this trip...
