hey again all

I am trying to get some good ideas for my nano when its ready. I know that I will get 6 or 7 fish max depending on the species so I am looking for ideas. My first idea was 3 or 4 prec clowns with a carpet to host them, a coral beauty and maybe a couple firefish or a dragonet or something like that.

Corals I am going to have to go with whatever you all recoment because I know nothing about them. I know that I want to get some zoos and I am going to get any get my hands an a nice frag pack to help fill things up but I am not sure what corals will do well and what won't. I ordered my MH fixture a couple days ago and i know that I am going to have wait a LONG time before corals and the carpet host are an option but i sitll need some good ideas.

Help anyone?

please

its a 25 gal. its not very big and that is why I am tryingot be careful about what i put in it

i would not put more than two or three fish in your nano. and of course try to keep them as small as possible. if your really wanted to a pair of clowns and tailspot blennie would be my chioce if not just the clowns.

corals- zoas are always a good chioce, some ricks, trumpet corals, duncans, just make sure that its not giong to take over to quickly and that if it has teniticals that expand they dont got to far out

Well, if you want 6-7 fish, they will all need to be small. They will also need to NOT be messy eaters. It will help your tank maintenance greatly. A spotted puffer will outgrow a 25 gallon tank really really fast. Besides, puffers can get aggressive, and they may also take a liking to your coral and inverts when it comes time to feed. They are probably best suited to large, aggressive, fish only displays. Clowns and firefish are a good idea. I also like the neon goby, although they don't have a very long life span. The dragonet may work, but the tank would have to be well established for it not to starve.

sounds good the puffer was just a pipe dream. I will have to look into the goby.

If anyone else has some ideas please let me know

by the sounds of things 5 is goingto be my max number but thats ok I was hoping for 6 but if thats too much thats ok

with a light load of Lr and a fairly new tank... my suggestion is to slow down.

the fish will be there when the time is right..

I am not putting anything in my tank for another couple weeks. I am just trying to get my research done before the time is right. right now there is only about 13 lbs of rock in my tank now but next week I am picking up another 15 lbs to get it up to par.

I am going to be taking this one nice and slow I have no intentions of buying 5 fish and all my corals and everything at the same time, throwing them in and praying that it works. It will be a slow process I have learned from past mistakes when I was younger and I will not be making them again trust me lol

I do hope you come across the hundreds of threads about dying anemones before you get one. good luck
