I have a yellow tang in a 9 month old reef that is otherwise fine except for some fin "rot". its not visibly rotting (no white) but it looks like its being eaten away. The most interetsing thing is that it's only on the trailing edge, and infact started with the corners of the tailfin.

Any ideas? THe other fish in the tank seem fine (pair of oclarius (sp) clowns)

All paramaters and other inhabitants are fine...

I lost the Tang -- but the clowns seem very happy and are exhibiting mating behavior...would the clowns do this to a much larger fish?

I personally don't believe a pair of Oscellarus clowns would do that to a Tang ... Maroon clowns maybe, but not Oscellarus clowns. Unless of course it was defending it's territory, but the Tang is normally a much faster swimmer and would easily get away from a Clown ... sounds like the Tang was ill. Sorry you lost it.
