Firefish with a parisite??????

well my firefish has something on its side that looks like a small shell or bugger. I took the pest pic I could. any ideas???

Personally I would do a freshwater and melafix dip just to be sure. some parasites can be pretty resistant to freshwater dips.

The picture isn't clear enough for a reliable diagnosis. However, if it appears to be an attached organism, the first approach is a FW dip: Fresh Water Fish Dip. In this case, limit the dip to 10 minutes not the recommended 30 minutes.

If the parasite doesn't drop off, then the next approach is a med for these sorts of things, found at your LFS, most likely.
