First SW tank.. tons of dumb questions! Help a newb get started? :)

Just an idea...You can use egg crate and cut it to fit around the filters. It can be covered with vinyl window screen with superglue to keep the smaller fish from being able to jump thru the egg crate squares.

What about a crocea clam later on down the road? They only get like 5 inches, right?LED light ok for them?Everything in this tank is doing really well.. we got some cheap zoas that are opening up fully and 2 little clowns

Hey everybody...
I've noticed some white stringy, webby "algae" or something on some of my live rock and corals. It seems to be pretty fond of my mushrooms -- in fact, the edges of them are stuck together by this stuff, causing them to fold in instead of being all luxurious and spread out.


What is this stuff? It looks like white hair algae, spider webs, or white slime trail or something!
I've googled it a bunch and can't find any info.


I've been blasting it with the dropper I use to spot feed, trying to suck it up or spray it off the shrooms..


How do I get rid of this?

snail eggs for sure nothing to worries about great food for fish and replenishes the cuc

possible that the muchrooms or another coral got into a fight and spilled their guts as they do.
