Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

Got the holes drilled last night, all went well. Starting the hole was the hardest part for me then I just let the drill do its thing, for hours and hours and hours. Thanks for the Help.

Did you use a diamond hole saw, or one of those carbide grit ones? I wouldn't have expected it to take hours.

I used to have a 1/4" diamond bit that was great for starting holes, but can't find it now. And can't find a replacement either. Those spear-point drill bits are much slower as starters.

I use a diamond hole saw but went real slow, I have more time than money for a new tank.

Good point. You would need to spend a lot of money for a tank that used the (cracked) 75 as a sump :)
