fish looks sick help

fish looks sick it has some thing growing on the face looks like it scratch its face on the rock but it has extra layers the color is like a graish color write back if you have any information about my fish.

A picture would really help as would more information such as how long the condition has been apparent, numbers about your tank and water such as PH, salinity, temperature, other inhabitants, and any other info.

I'd also like to know how long you had the fish? What other livestock is in the tank? Size of the tank? All the water parameters you test for? Does the fish display any abnormal behavior? What is the fish eating? What fish was last added to the tank? Do you have a quarantine tank?

Give us as much information as you can think of, even if you think it is insignificant. If you can post a picture, then that would really help. Hopefully, we can get your fish figured out.

The first two things are ammonia levels and low oxygen.
Do you know your ammonia reading and any other readings?
Whats the tank size and whats used for water movement?
