Hey everyone I am in the process of starting my own fish tank maintenance co. and looks like my first client has a 125gl with trickle filter. My first visit the rocks have some red algae on them as well some brownish filament type algae on the rocks. Its been about 2months since the last maintenance was done so I replaced the media in the phosphate reactor. Then took a sample home to test the water here are the results
Phosphate 1.71
Nitrate 80+
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
PH 7.4
The tank has a very large stars and stripe puffer about the size of a 16oz can.
Med. Size blue hippo
Six line wrasse
Med.-lrg sailfin tang
2 clowns
Humma Picasso trigger
I guess what I am looking for is there any good clean up crew members that wouldn't be on the menu, the puffer is a pig and messy eater and probably over fed. I am considering maybe converting the trickle filter to a refigium due to the high nitrates think the PH reading may be off it took me a couple of days to test the water it was floating in my sump to maintain temp.
Any suggestions is appreciated don't think removing any fish is an option the owner picked them out himself.
Thanks
