I am throwing this out there to see what sticks! I have an ATI Bubble Master 250 skimmer and it appears the top bracket for the gate valve (water discharge) has come lose from the bottom cylinder. I would love to show you pictures, but they are locked in my new phone, still waiting for me to get them out. Just take my word for it; things are not cracked, just popped lose and I want to glue them back together. Anybody tried JB Weld epoxy on Acrylic? Does it work for acrylic, or not or destroy it? Is it toxic to fish and corals or benign once cured? Does it get along with salt water? Any better ideas? Thanks for any help.

Any clear solvent based glue will work for this sort of thing even CA / Super glue. Weldon is not really a glue its a solvent and the thick versions are a solvent with a filler. As long as its strong enough to melt acrylic it will work for non structural. Carb and choke cleaner will bond acrylic in a pinch.

Be sure to clean the mating parts with denatured alcohol before you use the weldon.

You may even need to lightly and I mean lightly sand the pieces with 320 grit sand paper prior to cleaning.
