Do flatworms eat coraline?

One added question.

Will zoa's with only one polyp multiply?

Thanks Nick

I have had a single eagle eye and 2 bam bam polyps for about six months and they haven't multplied yet. Coraline has taken over the rock though. They are both grown onto ordinary rock from out front of my house. Could that have an influance?

As far as I know, flatworms eat detritus. Never read anything about them eating coraline. As far as the zoa's, they just aren't happy enough. That could be water quality, lighting, or flow. I would detach them from your outside rock and put them on some LR and get rid of the other rock. On a side note though, have you tried talking nice to them recently?

:)yup i agree with gotfish,if you talk to them nicely,or like when your feeding them, they will get encourage to multiply...and i feed mine with cyclopeeze or oyster eggs...they like it...

and in my opinion having 1 polyp will really take time to sprout baby..but if you have for example 2 or 3,theres a chance that each polyp will sprout a baby so theres more chance that you can grow them more in no time...i have a frag of 3 polyp and it took 1 month to sprout 1 polyp..and i have another frag that has 10 polyps and in less than a month it sprouted 3 more...and also has a frag of 2 polyps that in less than a month have grown 8 more polyps..it depends also on where you put them if they are happy or if they like flow...sometimes i move zoas and see where they are most happy...

Yes talking to your fish and corals is very encouraged.
It seems to work for me..
I have brought back a few sick corals given to me and now they are doing well..
Just whisper to them and let them know they are safe and can grow...

For some reason, I believe this.:D

I think my water quality is good. All my SPS are growing. I do ten gallon water changes every week and all my tests are good. The only test that kind of bothers me is my KH is always at 7 and I would like it to be at 8 or 9. The low KH could be because my calcium and Mag are always a little on the high side.

Maybe I will take the zoa's off there little rocks and attach them to LR.

I only ask about the flatworms because it seems when I suck out flatworms there is never coraline under them.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Nick

have you tried moving them to a different location? Some zoas prefer higher light, some lower. You may have to experiment a little to find the sweet spot.

I bought a piece of rock with one brown zoa on it about a year ago, my water quality isn't the cleanest all the time, but right now I have a bunch of zoas about the size of a honeydew melon, all from that one!

The eagle eye actually sprouted a new polyp right after i started this post!

Very exciting
