Found this rather interesting!! I believe it'll effect prices of Florida harvested aquarium life. It requires more strict licensing, licenses where none were previously required and lowers daily "bag limits."

Now watch prices go up, even in areas not effected by this. Seems to be kind of a trend when a specific area is effected.

shouldn't effect pricing on most things. the divers are already monopolized, so prices are sort of fixed from new competition. The price at the dock is usually the price it takes to get competitive supply internationally shipped and through customs. Never met a Florida diver that didn't base their price this way, and at the FWC MLE discussing the new regs those issues were discussed. (Condi limits brought it up because they go SO cheap from Haiti). A good thing in the end though, that is why you don't hear as much about the problems with Florida's reefs as much as Indonesia. CUCs will go up though, regular saltwater fisherman will now have to buy them from MLE divers to sell. I am in this boat, and I am expecting very large price increases. Like prices will probably double.

should have bin made effective immediately. but i guess thats a start...
the ocean will not wait,

good time to start keeping what you have eh?

good read

oh yeah- you are right about rics. They are already talking about making them jump. It depends on how the haitian ones go in the us.
