Flow how much is to much

The sea swirls use 3 orings. I was thinking spool valve seals?

Ive come up with a design of my own. It will not infringe on the patent rights of the maker of Sea Swirls. Should be about half the size. Can be made in a 360 for center mounting or 180 for center back or a 90 for corner mounting.
I'm going to do the 360 x 3/4 first since it best suits my needs and I already have the pump.
