My LFS says they can't get small tanks predrilled. You could likely have a glass store do it for you but they likely wont promise it wont shatter (is likely tempered glass). Your previous plan of doing it in a plastic container of some sort would still be a good choice and easy to make a hole in with a standard hardware store hole saw and a drill. rubbermaid roughneck containers have enough flat surfaces to be able to make a hole and put a bulkhead fitting through it.
