found clear molts on surface

i turned my flow off to feed tonight and had 3.....1/2" long clear what appeared to look like molts of a creature...any idea no pics sorry

I have seen some pretty large copepod molts before, not sure if they were quite that big. Could that be a possibility? Also do you have any cleaner shrimp? Sometimes when my fire shrimp molts I only see a portion of the molt making it look like something else at first glance.

mysids or mysis can reach up to a half inch long.

I got big 1/2Inch molts of isopods in my tank some times too.

This has happened to us before, but they turned out to be hermit crab molts. Could that be a possibility? Do you have hermits in your tank?

If not I would agree it is a pod shell. We have a few beast-size pods that could easily shed 1/2" shells.

I don't have hermits in my tank so it has always been pods. Oh and BTW I call all pods copepods lol
