Have you decided which salt your going to use? I like plain old Instant Ocean. Do you have a good hydrometer? How about a Reverse Osismois unit? Very Very handy for saltwater tanks. Well worth the cost. One thing that is very nice to have is a 44 gallon rubbermaid Brute trash can, on wheels. I have mine drilled at the bottom with a bulkhead and a valve to drain with. I keep a powerstrip attached to one handle for heaters and pumps. It is great for mixiing salt for waterchanges. To have a one inch of sand I think you are going to need more sand. If you go to the great threads forums on here and select calculators, you will find one that says sand bed calc. Punch in depth desired, length and width and it will spit out how many pounds you need. HTH Steve

Any thoughts on what fish you will be keeping?

fowlr questions

well i was thinking .5xgreen chormis
1x regal
1xyellow tang
1x powder blue
2x clowns
emporer angel
blue face angel
1x three stripe damsel
1xporcupine fish
maybe a sohal tang.

what do you guys think of the fish plzz let me know also recomend a few fish that you might thing would good. any fish any price no probs. thanks
:D

LOL Just a piece of advice. Tangs all need to be added the same at the same time. If you lose one in quar. or in the tank later it is very hard to get the others to accept them. The same goes for angels.
I have a blue face, bicolor, coral beauty, and a pygmy in the same tank
I have a yellow and a naso together in the same tank
In another tank. I have a Blue (the only one I have ever got to live) a Naso, and a Yellow together.
All were Quar. together and added together. It is dangerous to add so many fish at once and I had to be very very careful of the mini cycle that occurs when I did that.
It works just be careful and plan your steps and take time.
For livestock I recommend www.vividaquariums.com I have bought from alot of places and for me it is my favorite. A little more expensive but all my stuff lives and is very high quality. Excellent guy to deal with. His name is Dave and if you call you can actually talk to him. Here are a couple of photos of his fish. Steve

The sohal might be a little big for the tank and I would say the same for the porcupine. the porcupines grow soooo fast it is ridiculous. for the sohal it is best if you tank is over 200 gallons. I am going to try a small regal in My SPS only tank and we will see how that goes. If you want the chromis then I would think twice about the striped damsels. It seems that anything that they can pick on they will.
