I want to start fragging some things in my tank. Was wandering what would be the best for gluing these slipery suckers to the frag post?

And wher to get it.

It depends on what your fragging. You said slippery suckers so I would guess that it's softies. Lightly rubber band them to small rocks and place in a low flow area.

if they are shrooms and if you can break off with a Piece of rock then glue the rock where you want too.. if not then you can use wedding veil which you can pick up @ walmart in the arts and crafts area there should be a weding section. like 4 bucks cut a small Piece and place in a low flow area until it attaches to the rock. zoas and palys take a razor blade and cut close to the rock and or whatever they are attached too wear goggles and gloves as they sometimes spit and it will hurt and make you sick from what I have been told. then glue to a plug or what were you want to glue it too. there is many methods those have always worked best for me.

If your fragging and glueing softies & zoas cut/detach as above then dab w/ a paper towel and super glue gel them to frag plug, if glueing to lr in the aquarium dab coral put a nice glob of gel on it then quickly place on lr swirl/spin push/pull acouple times until gel sticks to lr (like glue between fingers) then press in place for 10-15 secs. I glue SPS, LPS Softies & Zoas this way with great success. I also use the Epoxy sticks (underwater proof type) Dow or Ace Hardware has it for about $3 and is safe to use. Using epoxy I wear disp. gloves and work fast as it starts to set within 5 min after mixing, this is a great application for gluing sm pcs of lr w/ attached corals to base rock.

Hope this helps

For soft corals I use any of the following; rubberbands, toothpicks, monofilament fishing line, bridal veil, and sometimes even plastic mess screening.
For LPS and SPS I use IC Gel sometimes along with uderwater epoxy, depends on if I am mounting my frags onto a piece of LR or onto a plug.

in my experience breaking the rock that the frag is on is the best way i have seen. unless its a branching coral like a frogspawn then you can just break it or use fragging sheers.

Todd and others, related to fragging/gluing (i'm new to this), i glued a ton of frags directly to my live rock. Some of the coral (damn you xenia) have moved from where i glued it. I'm now left with unsightly super glue on the live rock. I tried chipping off with an exact knife to no avail, any suggestions for how to remove from the rock. I'm guessing the answer is no, but wanted to check.

Thanks much,
James
