I've always wanted a marine tank and now i have had a few i am positivly a lifer!!!!! here are some pics of my tank and inhabitants from a few months ago and after our move.

tank

well i've been tring to post pics since last night and the attachments window gets almost done then says explorer cannot show page?

That's the most looking realistic scuba diver I have seen in a tank! I love how you have aquascaped to make it look like he/she is off in the distance, free floating.

This is the best I had found:

tank before the move

these are some shots of my tank before our move. i have since added a sump/fudge, about 4000 gal more flow, an overflow, 50lbs of ultra premuim figi lve rock, a plenium, and painted the back of the tank black so i will definatley get some more picks up after these.

more pics

wow i just realized that i say nothing about my tank.
so... it is a aga 75 that i painted the back of black. it has a plenum, with 4 inches of sand over it. I have about 130 lbs of live rock, with about 50 lbs of it diy.
i have a rubbermaid 60 gal sump that has 40 gallons in it, about one inch of sand, two baseball size clumps of cheato, and a little forest of sawblade caulripea(spelling). i think i will add about 6 more " to it as i go. I also have a diy carbon reactor and a freshly set up diy ats that run in my sump.
i have a 1/4 horsepower chiller under my stand as well. i know it's a little overkill but my tank recieves a lot of sunlight.
The ceramic shaft on my skimmer pump just broke so right now i'm skimmerless, but have some diy ideas and plans for a kick a$$ 8" dual pump recirc skimmer.
i welded the stand together and painted it black. ontop of it sits a piece of half inch plywood, then some styro, then my tank. when i'm not under it working, i have a piece of purple velvet that is tacked to the plywood and hangs to the floor.
i also built the hood out of half inch plywood, painted the inside of it white and the outside of it black. I installed 2 175 se mh retros in it and left room for 4 110 vhos, witch i have the 660 ballast and endcaps for, but have no harness for it yet.:D

Bojangles: i like it. i made it out of portland cement and crushed oyster shells. it took like three months for the ph to fall to a acceptible level for use. it doesn't have all the microscopic holes like real lr that harbors the anerobic bacteria that compleate the nitrogen cycle. but now i have a crap load of rock to make my aquascaping easy. thanks for looking at my tank thread!!!!

Update: my ats is coming along well starting to grow green hair algae.

i bought 80# more of caribsea special floor grade reef sand tonight and have put 40 of it in the sump already.

i recently bought a copper band butterfly fish and he is doing great and almost all of my aipstia are gone!!!!:)

more pics... tis is a cow fish i had for a bit. he was cool but he ate all of my tube worms!!! even the big hawian ones!!!!

the othe pic is of my overflow lines feeding my ats!!!:D
