Has anyone seen one of these for sale. I saw one in CA a year ago and it was over $1000. The tank of the month at reefkeeping has one here http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-02/totm/index.htm. If you have seen one then tell us.

That is one beautiful fish!! It is interesting tho, that he has found it not to be very reef safe.
I don't know if I would gamble a $1000 on a fish tho!!!!!!

Be ready to be put on the waiting list Collection of these fish are limited to parts of the Indian Ocean, and still then they are very hard to find.

Beautiful fish. I'd take this one over the Black Zebrazoma tang.

The white spots almost shine on that fish in person.

Supposed to be reasonably hardy. They still command hefty price tags. Despite the price tag they don't last long at the wholesalers when available. They sell quick.

The Guinea Fowl tang is an awesome fish. Only seen one at an LFS here in SA and it's in their display tank. It is reef safe and not as territorial as some of the other Zebrosoma family. Would kill to have one in my tank.

When I was living in Baltimore, one of the wholesalers in Washington, DC. got 7 of them in. He was selling them for $750 while still in the bag and $850 if he put them in his system. Anyone that has been to this place would tell you they would pay gladly $15000 instead for him not to put them in his system first. 2 of them came DOA and the other 5 sold within 2 days. The news of their arrival spread like wild fire. One guy I know that bought one said it died within a month.
