Gettin started up again and have some questions

Heya all,

I'm kinda new around these forums, but I really like em, hence the posting for advice. I just got a new tank, 58g and I want to keep softies with some SPS if at all possible. Right now I have 1 175w 10k Ushio MH, 2x55w Atinic PC's. For flow i've got 2 Rio1700's, one on each end of the tank and also 2 smaller maxi-jet 600 clones that I don't know where i'm pointing as of yet. Doing the skimming is a BakPak1 with surface skimmer box add-on(I plan on buying an Aqua-C in a few months). So heres my questions:

Can I keep any SpS given the current setup?
If so, what types would you all recommend?
Since I am not doing a sump, I'd like some opinions on some HOB Refugiums or maybe the AquaClear500 mod?

Also if anyone is living around the South Sound area.. I could use some fairly inexpensive LR and LS so I can get my tank cycling.
If anyone happens to have an RO/DI unit for sale.. i'd be willing to take it off your hands as well. Thanks again!

also I wouldn't mix softies and SPS in a tank. Choose one or the other..... I tried that when I first setup my 60 gallon tank and had chemical warfare. Even if you run large amounts of carbon you'll have issues.

yea, i had a xenia meltdown which fried all my sps but everything else was ok. its tough to mix em.

Yeah just got off the phone with Coral Beauty.. man i'm glad ya gave me their number. Anyways I should be headin up there sometime this week and gettin about 80lb of LR and 50lb of sand. Now that just leaves the darn RO/DI unit.. anyone out there have one they wanna let go of?
