Gigas questions

Hi Everybody, I just got an new four inch gigas and I had a couple of questions. First off let me say I have an sps dominated that is bare bottom. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put the new guy into a container of sand rather than just sit him on the bottom or should I put him on the rocks? Also, stupid question is it alright to put two different species of clams touching? Thanks in advance.

you can place it right on the bare bottom if you like, and its fine for them to touch. they dont sting or anything and do fine right next to each other
