I'm getting my 125g ready to go but I'm not sure what to do here. I have an established 75g and want to swap everything over to the 125 in a day and use the 75 gallons from the other tank leaving me to add 50 gallons of uncycled water. Is this possible or will I need to cycle the water all over again? Thanks!

All you need to do is make sure that the salinity and the temp are the same and no big deal. I went from a 55 to 180 and I was fine. IMO just let your water mix for at least 24hrs.

I'm about to go from a 120 to a 240 and I'm just mixing the water fresh in the new tank, getting the temp, salinity, etc as close as possible and then switching. I've done it before when I went from a 65 to a 120 without any problem.

one day transfer is possible maybe easier if you have Barebottom. but if you have sand then its going to be harder. specially if its an old setup. you are going to release a lot of unwanted stuff in/from the sand... so you have to do it carefully.
