Has anyone kept this fish?

I would like to know the eating habits of this species.

Is it as hard to acclimate (food wise) as a Copperband butterfly (CBB).
Which one is more hardier (Golden or CBB).

Thanks
Kirk

here is some info you can use:

The Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish, also known as the Golden Butterflyfish or Red-lined Butterflyfish, is bright yellow with a series of closely-spaced orange stripes on the sides, and a dark blue-gray patch behind the eyes.
A 50 gallon or larger aquarium with peaceful tank mates provides a good environment. The Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish can be kept in pairs or small groups in a larger aquarium.

A diet of vitamin-enriched live foods or fresh clams may be needed in the beginning. Provide herbivore preparations once the fish begins eating.

My old LFS had an 800g tank and kept a small school of these awesome butterfly's. They were extremely hard to get to eat and actually perished due to them not switching over to eating prepared foods. He tried bottleneck clams everything and they would not eat.

I must have got lucky with my copperbanded butterflyfish. Never had a problem with it eating.

to find a healthy, eating copperbanded butterfly is rather rare. I have been extremely lucky in that mine has been with me for over 7 years now. Got it in jan of 2000. Mine ate from the get go and continues to do so. It lets me pet it and when I'm working in the tank it's like it stands guard so no other fish can come near me.

Wow, that's so neat. I wish mine would guard me when I'm in the tank. My clarkii clown has started biting my hands/arms when i'm in there.

Before I moved from NC, I had a CBB and it ate from my hand. PE Mysis Shrimp was filet minon to it..absolutely loved it...

I am trying to gauge whether the Golden Butterfly can be as difficult to fed as a CBB.

thanks

Kirk, in seeing what my friend that had the LFS and the 800g tank the golden butterfly seems to be 100 times harder to feed. He never could get them to start eating. He kept thinking if 1 would start surely they all would. Nope, not one ever tried to show interest in food. I think these are 1 of those "should stay in the ocean" fish.
