Great Barrier Reef!

So I'm in the process of planning a trip to Australia in September. We are trying to figure out the best places to dive/snorkle while we're there. Of course the great barrier reef is on the top of the list but the question remains WHERE? If anyone out there has any experiences diving the area I'd love some suggestions and stories of personal experience.

if u can get to ningaloo its well worth it its and offshore reef thats on shore its really easy accsess to the reef and no nasty jellys its in western australia if ur going out on boats on the barrier its full of people and about 300 bucks a trip i think
