Ok, You said it was a great store!!!

So i came there yesterday and check it out. I want to see it for myself...
And you know what.... I agree!!! its definitely a place to go and visit... top notch equipment, corals and lighting....

I like how they do their presentation. Its small but its packed. I liked it...

But I cant remember who is who... Which one is Chris? there are two people there... The tall guy is Mike right? or maybe I mixed his name with someone else? He is the same guy I bought my PFO pendant a long time ago.

Is Chris the other huy then?

Maybe you should have a name tag then.... hahahaha so its more a personal experience...

Cesar,

I'm guessing you were in saturday. Mark (skimerwhisperer here on RF) was the taller of the two. Chris (declevis) would have been the guy with the beard. They are both very knowledgable and we are lucky to have them working for us. Tim and I own the store. You'd usually find me there during the week and Tim is there most weekends.

We're glad you liked our shop and I'm thinking name tags would be a great idea as well. We want our store to be a personable place where people want to come to hang out and talk aquariums.

IXnay on the name tags. If the people can't talk to you and ask who you are then kick them to the curb! You guys are the most knowledgable and approchable place around and I can't help coming in and talking the trade with you guys on a weekly basis.

But seriously IMO name tags are too commercial!!! And please don't think about uniforms either unless you guys turn into really really hot bikini babes! :D

Oh and also thanks for carrying a stock of DT's that doesn't expire in a month!

I have to agree my fist visit was yesterday and I was verry impressed! my only stop for live stock.

it just blows my mind we spent over $3000 in a month at BR and the people are so helpful..... i dont think id be shopping any where else.... keep up the good work guys

You are spelling dood Wrong.....its dude!!!!!

that's my way of saying it dood:D :p .

ok doods you totally rock !!! :D yesterday i was just gonna buy a crab (i'm in to much need of it :p) and instead i came home with a crab AND a few corals :D...a like the tiny mini frags you guys sell that's so totally cute :D .
and Mark, thanks for all the stuff !!! :)

Hey I bought a skimmer from you guys the other day (Euro-Reef RS80P). Just wanted to say thanks for the great prices, and thanks to Mark (skimerwhisperer) for the awesome info on my sump and how to mesh mod the new skimmer.

BTW, your tanks and store look awesome!

Great Place

I have bought several items at BR and it’s a great shop! On one of my more recent trips I met up with a gentleman that seemed very knowledgeable on nano's (I don’t recall his name) but I haven’t been able to catch up with him since- He was very helpful!

Good day,

Jason from Clear Fabrications has suggested enthusiastically on several occasions that I needed to check out Barrier Reef.

I finally made my way down to the shop today and had a great chat with Mark (Skimmerwhisperer) regarding my new skimmer and some options for modding it. He knows his stuff and took his time explaining things to me.

Business appeared brisk and I walked away with some mesh, a new algae scraper, as well as a great book Mark suggested for aquascaping inspiration for my new CFI 155 tank. I had to hold myself back from purchasing any live stock for my new tank.

Once the new tank is established, I intend to return to Barrier - and often for fish and corals. The display and sales tanks looked very well maintained and the skimmers were active!

Thumbs up to a great store! Ohh and for the record.. it isn't to hard to find on the backside of the shopping center.. put your nose to the breeze and follow the faint scent of the ocean.

Cheers,

Chris

the Elos tank serously looks awesome :) .
i went there yesterday and i saw they had this big blue acro (i think it was acro or tort .. not sure :p) that caught my eye hehe :) .
ohh and i can't believe you guys sell phosban media ... i think you guys are the first store i know that sells it because i went looking in other places a long time ago and they didn't have it, so definetly i'm gonna have to go back and get me some :D .

i just wanted to say ty for the clown i thout i would of had a harder time finding one of those but you had one ty CY and tim nice store and good prices

Brandon

Have said it before but have to keep repeating it, Cy runs the best shop I have dealt with in 30 years. Barrier is fair on pricing, honest on sourcing, VERY knowledgeable staff, and true to his word. Besides this, he keeps fully stocked on whatever is currently desirable and deals in quality livestock. This store (and a few other local excellent ones too) deserves our full support. If we don't keep them busy, we will be back to having to mail order and hope to get lucky. Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone...Mike...you don't know how good that makes me feel. Its a lotta work, a lotta stress and the payoff isn't that great. When you are doing something you love and people appreciate the results, it makes it all worth it.

I have to put in my Kudos as well. While over the mountains working, I took a day off to stop in there for their big Customer Appreciation sale. Unfortunately, I was staying in the area another couple weeks so couldn't buy any livestock. I was simply amazed at the quality, quantity and sale pricing I saw!! My first visit was a complete success. Looking forward to my second and future visits. Customer service ROCKED, even though it was wall to wall customers!! Thanks guys!!!

Kevin and I decided to drop in as a side trip while going to get some acrylic. The store looks great Cy! Very nice selection of corals, especially SPS, and lots of cool fish. I saw the D-D salt but I want a smaller size for testing. If you happen to get any of them in, will you post or email?

Tanks were nice and clean as was the whole store. Keep up the good work!
