Green polyps closed

I have green polyps and others in my four foot tank. The lighting is six 54 watt t5s two of which are actinic rest are 10000k. Approx 10 cm or four inches above water in a closed canopy. My circulation is approx 40 times per hour. My water perameters are stable ammonia 0
Nitrites 0 nitrates 0 phos zero. Cal 420ppm ph 8.3. . I do 20percent water nsw change per week.

Lighting ten hours per day

My green zooz stay closed during the day help!!!

Do they open at night?

That is a good question, it is 9 15 pm here and my lights have just gone off. In half an hour i will go check and let u know

how close are they from the light? ...may be to much light or have you check for nudis ?

Went and checked the zooz, they are opening up in the dark!

It could be your light is too bright for them. How close are they to the bulbs? Try moving them to the bottom of the tank and see how they do there.

Only going to use two actinics and two 10000k and see what happens
