Got this strange thatch growth on one of my rocks. Somebody has been quilting at night

Got this strange thatch growth on one of my rocks. Somebody has been quilting at night

OK 24 fellow reefers and no one has ever seen this before, well that is kinda scary, it is starting to spread to other rocks,any help would be appreciated.

Looks a little similar to this, although your is more of a whitish color?

Thanks, but this is more of a flat algae type of growth

If its growing super fast i would isolate it immediately before it takes over your rockwork. Then find out if its good or bad. Generally any algae that grows that fast is not a good thing.
