would it be a bad idea to just put the adults and some eggs in my sump or dt?? would they grow or would the fish eat them all, even if added at night?
just curious.

TIA,
ben

It's OK to have mysid shrimp in your system. In fact, most salt water tanks have them already as they can come in with live rock and corals.
If you have a lot of rubble in the sump it will help to protect the newborn from the adults as mysids are carnivorous and eat ones that are smaller than them.
DO NOT put brine shrimp cysts (eggs) in your system as they are known to many times harbour nasty bacteria that can have negative effects on your livestock.
Cysts need to be sterilized or decapped before hatching, and rinsed well before using them as food.
Brine shrimp will not survive in your system because they don't have the power to fight the currents involved, and, the predation in the system takes care of what is put in there in very short order.
It's best to grow them out and enrich them before using them as food.
