ph high range test kit....

my book is missing the first page. which happens to be the page that has english on it..

From what i can read in german, japanees or spanish.

fill to line, add 3 drops?

i looked everywhere for a manual, seems hangen doesnt release it cause of copy right or something... i emailed them but this wil probly be faster

sure about that??

cause they replied

1) Take a sample of the water to be tested with the
pipette and use it to fill a clean test tube to the
5 mL line.
2) Add 3 drops of reagent into the test tube. Insert
cap. Hold in place with finger and shake well to
mix. Attention! Always use the cap. Avoid skin contact.
3) Immediately match the test color to the closest
color on the chart. For best results, hold the test tube
flat against the paper and read with a light source behind you.
4) After use, rinse the tube with fresh tap water to
ensure it is clean for next use.

PH Test Kit

But mine says 4 drops. They wouldn't make different test kits for the same subject, would they? However, I rarely tested PH and have no PH metre either. I only tested the NO3 occasionally. I 'll test the Ammonia, NO2 & NO3 when I start a new tank, otherwise nothing else. IMO, as long as the fish swim & eat normally + regular water changes, buying those PH, Ca test kits is a waste of $, and the $ should go to better fish food and suitable/necessary equipment for your tank. I've started this hobby since DEC 04, all I have is a cheapy skimmer and a chiller for the hot summer in Hong Kong, with 3 power heads in my 48" where 2 tangs (1 yellow + 1 blue) & a few small fish living there happily. Keep with the weekly/bi-weekly water change will do. That's my poor 2 cents.
