Hair Algae growing in the overflow box

Hello!

Is it common to have a good amount of HA growing in the overflow box?
The display is HA free but the inside of overflow box is taken over by HA....

Great place to have it if you do have it. You can harvest it perform export, just make sure none drifts into the display.

I would have to agree with Mojo here. If you have it at all that would be a great place for it. But I don't know how you are going to keep it out of your display unless you are running sock and even there I don't know if it will keep it out.

I'll 3rd it in the sense that it is better to have it there than in the tank. One reason why it is growing there and nowhere else is probably because the conditions (lighting, water flow etc) are more suitable for it to grow there than anywhere else.
