ahh.. Phosguard.. Yeah I Ordered Phosban.. I found the old post and he Mojo wasnt recommending it nor was he not. It was a post talking about how Rowa is 5 times better than phosban although phosban is a great product in itself... In any case I believe that running phosban will be alot better than running nothing at all... I do remember reading alot of stuff about phosguard and its uselessness LOL... In any case phosguard is about a 1/4 of the price as rowa and at this time a bit more readily availible... I dont plan on running it for the rest of the tanks career unless the algae comes back LOL.. I am just going to try and use it to try and defeat the hair algae and go from there as to weather or not I continue to use it....

They are both good products. I switched to Rowa when I got a Merck phos test kit. The output water had phos in it with the Phosban and since I switched it actually had none. You do need to get a good test kit to measure phos that low. The sea test and salifert will not go as low. A Merk will test below .015.
