Hang On Refugium

Hi,

I just purchased a hang on refugium, can I put this in the sump instead of hanging on the back of the tank? Will it provided the same benefits in the sump as hanging on the back of the tank?

Can your sump handle the extra flow? I ran a HOB fuge for 3yrs so I'm trying to get a vision on how it would work on a sump. Guess it all depends on the size of sump and fuge.

There is an area in the sump not being used, I would put a small fuge there and have it run into the sump area. I have a Elos tank 34 gallon, from day one the stand always made me nervous, I did not want to add any extra weight to the tank.

Why not just turn that sump area into a fuge? Got any pics?

useful areas for growing on macro algaes and copepods, but don't usually have suffiecient volume to have a positive filtration effect on the aquarium.
