heading to seattle.

well the wife and i are heading to the university hospital for a few days. i am woundering if there is any desently priced hotels around there. every thing i have seen is in the $90 to over $100 range per night. even if i have to drive a few miles to the hospital i'm ok with that. any help you can give would be great, thanks.

They're kind of a dive, but Motel 6 will be much less expensive. Sometimes, when we're over there, we stay at the one in Seatac. There's actually two in Seatac. We stay at the one just off Orillia road.

I've had some good luck with priceline lately - just bid something outragiously low, cuz once priceline gets a hotel to accept your "offer" you are charged for the night... I stayed at a red lion a few weeks ago for $40.

how far is seatac to the U of W medical center? is there anything cheaper down town seattle?

Nothing is really cheap in downtown. I heard of one place in Georgetown, which is the south end of Seattle by Boeing field, that is in the $80 range.

Probably about 5-6 miles maybe. North end of Boeing field is the Michigan St exit off I-5.

have you ever heard of the Georgetown inn? i just found a coupon for $60 a night in the travel guide for them. it is at exit #162 on I-5.
