Um.. you live in Florida!!! Do you really NEED one?????
LOL.. Seriously.. I live in Washington State, and have a 120 gallon, and I dont have a heater at all. The lights, and pumps put out enough heat on thier own to keep it warm. In fact... I installed a fan to keep things cooler, cause it was getting to hot. (although I am running 6 vho's on an enclosed hood.. that would probably be a BIG part of the heat!)
I don't think anyone makes a good reliable heater in the industry, all I can suggest that no matter what brand of heater you use, you should use some kind of temperature controller to shut it down when it fails and sticks on, best $150 you can spend IMHO
Trido, now that i think about it, my heater never came on when i had my 125g...it did stay warm enough during the summer...i will be using my Mag12 as a return pump again on my new 120g.. i think the heat from that thing always kept the temp up.. i still want to have some sort of heater in there just in case
