thanks elmo we are very proud of it. we still have alot to learn though. the babies are great they eat very well. lisa is going to post some pictures of them soon. they are hosting the suction cup on the heater. they are so funny

I can not even imagine what it was like moving an entire tank/ livestock! You two have done a great job.

Did you say there is a spray bar under the rock? I thought that I saw a sand bed??? If so I would be interested to know how it was set up as to not stir up the sand so much.

there is only sand around the rocks, under them is 1 inch pvc heavily drilled grid it is connected to the two 1 1/2 inch returns you see at the top of the tank so i think most of the water flow follows the path of least resistance and goes out the top, however i do notice there is some flow coming up through the rocks. it isn't as much as i would like but there is still some . i am considering a larger return pump or possibly avalve to slow the return to the top. the current return is an ampmaster 3000 he upgraded all the lines to 2 inch all the way to the tank, so the top of the tank already has a ton of flow. i wish i could have made a manifold and divided the retuns with a scwd or two to achieve more random currents, but i had to get this up asap. and yes, it was very stressfull, it did go well though, we didn't lose nothing

Here are some full tank pics. I finally figured out how to get the pics bigger  Everything is doing great. All the fish are back in the 180 now and we are mostly done with rock scaping. Still will have to adjust water flow and placement of some coral. But it all looks awesome!!!! :D :D
nice...good pics...hope to see more too.... so what did you do about the skimmer.....? hope you got some rest...... cw. :)

thanks, we are slowly adding pics to our gallery, the skimmer is an etss skimmer i believe it is the evolution 750 it is a little difficult to get adjusted, but once it is where it needs to be it works very well. anyone who has any experience / advice about these skimmers can feel free to chime in

The tank looked really good when I was there. I didn't realize that was relatively new for you. It looked like it had been running for a while already (that's a complement). Nice setup...now you just have to wait for things to take off growing.

thanks for the compliment reed we are pretty new to the hobby,so we love all the feed back it is even better if it is positive

i dont know for sure cuz the system was bought used but there is at least 200 pounds of lace rock in the tank, probaly closer to 300, and the sump is full of live rock 2 feet high by 4 feet by 4 feet .
