A lot of information and knowledge on this forum. Ask any question.
However, IMO, before you put any water in a tank, I would suggest reading the following book:
Conscientious Marine Aquarist
The first part of the book talks about tank selection, cycling a tank, water parameters, disease identification and cures, etc..; the second part of the book describes the different genus of fish and which was are good and which ones to stay away from.
I own this book and use it as a reference from time to time, and I've been in the hobby for 14yrs.

Thanks Kirk and I will checkout that book soon. Currently I have a 130gal reef tank with metal halides and VHO's. I am running a Berlin XL skimmer with an iwaki 30rlt pump and a reef devil etss skimmer as well in my 80 gal sump. I have about 12 fish and 20 soft, hard, and nems. Looking to gain a lot more knowledge from this site.
