Yes, entertaining to say the least!
Welcome to RF. Look forward to pics when you are able to post them.

Is your nano the reef tank? If not, what size is your reef tank?

well my tank is a 28g nano cube. i started it about a year and a half ago. But due to moving and starting a job as a firefighter I have only been able to water changes. so now my coral is over grown (i think you tell me)

fish tank - a set on Flickr
are a few quick pics i took

any guidance of were to go would be great also if you could ID the purple fish, claim and the coral i have a bunch of pics of.

You need a bigger tank!!!! May I suggest something in the 280gal range!!! LOL
Seriously. Your tank looks great, You could trim some of the corals back for other newbees to enjoy.

Welcome to RF.

What in particular are you looking to do with your tank?

Thanks for the props, I have done a lot of research in keeping good water parameters but i am struggling with trying to figure out coral types and remembering all that stuff. I would like to cut back by coral and put in a bunch of different coral. One problem I face is no one i know does the salt water thing so I am new at this and am learning everything from what i read. I also am having a difficult time finding a good LFS to buy stuff and to get info. The few i been to have been not that great. I was super excited cause I moved that tank about 4 months ago when I moved and i had NO dead loss. I was shocked. I want to move up to a big tank like a 250g but right now living on a 2nd floor apt. I am limited. Plus I am planning to move in about other year to a house so that wil be when I make the jump up. THis is my trial run. I bought my tank for a great price so i figured trying saltwater for the first time.
But one weird fact is I can't keep a clown fish alive in my tank for over a month in my tank. Its weird.

So all that to say any ideas what to put in my tank and where can i sell or trade coral.

You won't get a lot of help at an LFS, they are in the selling business not the hobby, best help will be on forums as they are kind of self correcting.
Clowns should be carefully chosen and only buy tank raised, the wild caught's have a high risk of disease and really should be treated whether showing symptoms or not to be safe.
Take a chance on one of the sponsors here and see what you think.

Surely one of your LFS would take some of your corals in trade. Maybe for a healthy clown or two. LOL

I like to keep leathers, They are hardy. easy to keep and add motion to the tank

I like that Idea of leathers. How do I go about cutting down some of my Polys? i like to cut it back some so that I have room to place new coral. Im maxed out with Fish now. I wish i never bought the silver one. Sorry bad with names but there is a pic on the link above. I will try out the sponsors link.

Yeah, you will have to wait till you move to a house to get a bigger tank. Dont think I would trust anything too big on a sencond floor appartment.
250 would be a great size.
You can check out the many sponsors here on RF for coral and information. Take a look around their sites and research the coral that you really like. There is also the "classifieds" section that you should be able to get into shortly. Post what your looking for and someone will probably have it.
