Hello!

I know there's a ton of information on bulkheads out there but can some one tell me from experiecne what size of bulkhead fitting they recomened for a 55 gallon draining into a 29 gallon sump?

Thank you!!!!! :)

A 1 inch bulkhead will handle about 800 gph I think (atleast that's what the CPR overflow rated for 800 gph uses). I've always used 1 inch drains that worked fine running about 700-800 gph of flow. If you want to be safe, I'd go probably a half size bigger and that should be sufficient for that setup. Just a thought...:)

error,

DENIED, RC has a hard on for me... cant go there. it wont let me..

LOL

So far it sound like one bulkhead that is 1 1/2" through the back of tank would be sufficient. What do you all think? Do you think there would be any noise issues with this size?

Thanks again!

I would do a 1 1/2" It is easy to slow it down. Increasing it is another story.
Also depend on what pump you plan to use for a return.
