HELP HELP tank in need advice please?

Today when i arrived home from school my 75g tank had gone cloudy. My spotted eel was dead and my shrimps. I put live rock into it yesterday around midday and it got quite clear into the night?

That LR probably caused a huge spike & caused all that!

Nope, just keep doing water changes and ride out the cycle and start over.

i'd add some carbon too

i added carbon after testing and found my nitrate at 20ppm (outrageous)

i removed the rock and plan to change water tomoro

You're just gonna have the problem when (if) you put the rock back in. I'd leave the rock in and do the water changes so the rock cycles...Unless of course you plan on leaving the rock out for good...

im wondering how long the LR was at the store..? before it went in the tank. ie..not "cured."

once air hits the rock all the sponges die... they are probly rotting right now...if you have a good skimmer and alot of nnr capability i would let it cycle...
