Hey everyone,
I have looked in every book I have at the shop and still cannot find anything about this coral.
The skeleton of this coral looks almost Identical to an elegance coral, but it's tentacles look like a cynaria at night when it is trying to feed. It is about 3 inches across. I took these shots just before feeding it half a silverside. I took a video of it and ran out of battery juice but it QUICKLY grabs the food and then takes about 30 minutes to engulf the intire thing in its mouth.
I will try and get the video sped up so that you can see it happen quickly. I will also have to video it again since my battery died halfway through its feeding.
Anyway...I call it the Venus Flytrap coral. The place I got it gave it a name of a Bourbon Coral.
Let me know what you all think?
