Help needed

Well some of you probably noticed I have not been around lately. Well reasons are many but the main reason is my Fiance and I have taken custody of a 14 year old boy while his family get things hammered out. Thought I was done with teenagers a long while ago....lol, Anyway.. I plan on getting him a RC car for Christmas and was wondering if anyone here might know a good starter car for him? It would really help to a good place to buy one online. Any help would be great.

I actually have a full set up. 2wd electric truck. The thing hauls ass. I used to race it. He could have no prob racing it again. Let me know. Just collecting dust at my place. be easy to ship. Mike

Him being 14 I dont think they would want electric car. You should get a gas powered one. They are much cooler. But more money also. You can find whole kits online for like 300-400. Depending on what price you were going for. Just my opinion. Will be a cool present either way.

check out traxxas they have a full line of electric and gas powered the gas ones are alittle sensitive but very fast the electric ones are almost as fast but not quite. traxxas also has a full line of after market upgrades as well

it would be on road, he saw one at parking lot and thought they were so cool, The one he saw was like 700 bucks, but no way he could handle it, To fast, I figured a starter car would be good.

Well being I had Nitro cars, buggies & electric, I'd start off with electric for the time being, don't go overboard until you see where he goes with this, You could do a Nitro truck but it will add up, yea it starts off 3 4 hundred then before you know it BOOM!, I spent 2K on one buggy in no time, resale is about useless as selling aquarium products LOL! Yeah been Busy to say the least, Reefing on the messageBoards has taken backseat for bit. But I still read em, Just dont post. Thanks for thinking about me bro. Oh by the way I have new Protein skimmer comming out soon, Need to scope it out.
