Help with My first sps tank plans

Nope, no skimmer, and I have my best results that way. No tanks are drilled, hence the memtioning of the DIY standpipe overflow.

The return is a RIO 1400 or maybe 2000 or something, I dont remember exactly, and it doesnt really matter.

am i right in there's not really a way to know if the glass is tempered unless you know the manufacter? the 20 L i have says it's made by L. Hernandez and i couldn't find anything on it online

I have a 20 long... Just don't drill the bottom. Only drill the sides. As well, sps do significantly better with a skimmer, as they only do well in tanks that have the best water quality.
