Help with Tang id

I got him as an "orange spotted tang" but i cannot find any info on him at all. He is all grey with little orange spots on his face. Thanks!

Never heard of a "orange spotted tang" before.....orange shoulder but not spot. Do you have a pic...i'm sure that would help.

I will try to get one tonight. And it has the body shape of a clown tang.

Grey with orange spots on his face.

I found him. I guess he has a little coloring up to do though. It is a lavender tang.

i had a Brown Surgeonfish / Lavender Tang in my fish tank, but don't know whether it's the same with yours. mine is brown with orange spot on it's face.

Thats the one. He calls it Lavender tang because he doesn't like the name Brown Surgeonfish:lol: :lol:
Steve rescued it in bad shape from a bad LFS, and the cool fish is now doing GREAT! Steve has that magic touch, his tank is doing awesome!
