Help with Typhoon III ro/di

I just got a typhoon III ro/di unit used and I think that some of the lines might be hooked up wrong. This is my first ro/di unit and I was wondering if anyone else has the same one, and if they could take some pictures or help me figure out where the lines go? I did look on the air water and ice web sight but the directions they have seemed incomplete or I just didn't understand them lol.

Thanks,
Brian

Because the line that hooked to the faucet was going to the di cartridge and I was pretty sure that that is supposed to be the last one to get water. So I took it to Reef Mystique and Wil looked at it and switched that one, but he was also unsure about the rest of them.

Thanks Jason I really appreciate the pictures. I will check when I get home and see if I can match them up.

If it doesn't work I'll be out of town 'til Sunday night so I won't be able to post more pics but I may be able to reply to posts with my phone.

Here are some pictures of mine.

The last valve on the left the hose that comes out of there just loops right into the di filter.

The line that comes out of that thing that says flow is just an open end, the line where the water comes in goes to the first filter which I think is correct, and so where is the waste water line?

When I get home from the Barrier Reef Sale I will take some pics of mine and see if we can try to help get things matched up I just woke up and my coffee hasn't kicked in yet but I will post pics my unit is up on a wall so I have to get a chair and look at it and take some pics :)

Ok the line going in when looking at the unit will be the one on the right, waste line will be the one that comes out of the top (you can see it in the pic by metal bracket) and the line coming out will be the one on the left. I hope that helps and sorry for the bad pic I used my phone to take it.

Thanks G&N! Ok so I think I have it figured out in the middle picture that I posted the line that was going from the di cartridge was looped to that last valve on the left. I unhooked that and I think that is where the good ro/di water will come from. The line coming from the top right in my middle picture with all the weird valves will be the waste water. The line on the right will be the feed line. Does that make sense?

Yup you got it right the good water comes out on the left, your water goes into the unit on the right and the waste line is the one that comes out ontop where all the valves are.

Ok so the valve on the left is for ro only water for drinking right? I would just keep that one closed during normal use? I don't know what the middle valve is for so I assume keep it open. The valve on the far right I think is the fast flush? Do I keep this open or closed?

Thanks again,
Brian

I'm home now so hopefully I can help. I keep the RO only closed and the next valve over is the DI bypass I also keep that closed. If you want RO only water you open the DI bypass and get your water out of the RO only hose. When you want RODI again close the DI bypass and get your water from the RODI hose.

Ok I got it all hooked up and it's working great! I have the middle valve open but water is going through the di filter section is it still by passing it?
The water that it is making is showing 0 ppm on the tds meter and the water out of the tap is 20 ppm.

Thank you everyone for walking me through this lol I really do appreciate all the help I get from everyone on this board.

I don't know about the DI bypass but if you're getting 0ppm water then I guess all is good. Did you contact Airwaterandice about you're unit being hooked up wrong? I've always found that their customer service is great.

No I bought it used from some girl off of craigslist so it wasn't their fault. Everything seems to be working good now though so thanks again ;)
