Hey folks;

I'm having a hard time condensing the synopsis Mike posted for Steve's presentation.

How does this sound?

Steve Tyree, founder and owner of Dynamic Ecomorphology, is a well-known author and coral aquaculturist. Steve will be speaking on how different tank lighting spectrums affect the ability of corals on our care to adapt, thrive and retain their colorful pigmentation. Steve’s presentation will show the important differences between bulb wattages and spectrums.
Please let me know if I've missed something important or if you can come up with better wording...it just seems a little awkward to me.

I always used to put the numbers for Chuck and myself on the fliers for those wanting more info. I'll still put mine up there but who else wants the honor?

Ok, the fliers are done and I'm emailing all of you a copy. You can type in the other name & number of whomever decides they want it on the flier.

If you don't like it or think we should change it, please post here.

I'd like to develop a list of which stores are "flier friendly" and will post it from a fax or email and also a list of where else we should post the things. Petco and other pet/aquairum stores would be good; we might not shop there but many new people getting into the hobby do and we might be able to bring some of them into the club.

Can you all help me develop the list by checking with the stores in your area?

Colleen pointed out that it would be a good idea to add the room#. It's B104. You can all type that in or I'll send out another version when someone else wants to add their phone#.

So Alice, last time when you had your phone number just how many calls did you get?? That may help us decide how eager we are to add it!

LOL!

I can't speak for Chuck but I got all of 2. ;)

Maybe it's not all that important. But Gordon, maybe you'd consent to put yours up since you won the hotly contested membership chairman's race?

Alice,

Looks good. You can put me as the second number. I've also changed the web site address.

For more information, visit us at www.thepsas.org or call Alice at 253-831-3713 or Gordon at 206-930-0318

We also need to include something about membership only. This is what I originally posted, but I think it needs some refinement.

Membership is required to attend this event. You can join PSAS at any event or by sending an email [email protected]

An Evening With Steve Tyree
SAT The Puget Sound Aquarium Society (PSAS) presents Steve Tyree's presentation on "The Biological Light Requirements of Photosynthetic Corals". Steve, a well-known author and coral aquaculturist, will be speaking on how different tank-lighting spectrums affect the ability of corals in our care to adapt, thrive and retain their colorful pigmentation.
7:00 p.m. Saturday, Bellevue Community College, Room B-104, 3000 Landerholm Circle E, Bellevue. Free for PSAS members, $20 for year-long membership. (253-831-3713 or www.thepsas.org)

How does that look for the Datebook listing in the Times?

Very cool, Steve!

Gordon, I'll take a look at rewording the flier. Thanks for putting your number up. :)

Alice,

Are you going to email out an updated flyer? I'm going to swing by some south end stores this weekend.

Gordon,

I'm sorry - I didn't see your post! Can you just type the changes in?
